Redesigning the e-commerce experience for a Middle Eastern fashion retailer across Arabic and English-speaking markets. Website, App and Store App.
Challenge
Website: The existing platform had fragmented navigation and a visual language that didn't reflect the brand's positioning. The catalog was large, and the site needed to work reliably across RTL (Arabic) and LTR (English) layouts.
App: Designing the native mobile app for Riva Fashion a shopping experience for iOS and Android across Arabic and English-speaking markets. Moving from a mobile-web mindset to a fully native experience. The catalog was large, the audience was global, and the design had to work reliably across RTL (Arabic) and LTR (English) navigation patterns on both platforms.
Store App: Designing an internal mobile tool for Riva Fashion retail staff covering inventory management, order fulfillment, and real-time stock tracking across stores. Store employees were working with fragmented legacy systems that slowed down daily operations. The tool needed to handle barcode scanning, stock-in/stock-out workflows, and multi-store data in a fast-paced retail environment.
Solution
Website: Redesigned the end-to-end shopping journey with a mobile-first approach. Rebuilt the information architecture for product discovery homepage, PLP, and search to handle a high-density catalog without overwhelming users. Defined a design system that supports both RTL and LTR consistently across all pages.
App: Designed a mobile-first interface around thumb-friendly navigation and one-handed use. Adapted the design system to align with iOS and Android platform guidelines while keeping a consistent brand identity. Defined layouts for Wishlist, push notifications, and a simplified checkout flow across both language directions.
Store App: Designed a utility-first interface focused on speed and data accuracy. High-contrast UI with large touch targets for one-handed use on the shop floor. Integrated camera and hardware scanner with instant visual feedback to reduce errors during inventory counts. Simplified the Pick & Pack flow for e-commerce orders fulfilled from physical stores.
Impact
Website: Delivered a unified design system that simplified the rollout of new collections and campaigns. Improved navigation clarity across both language markets.
App: Launched a bi-directional native app across iOS and Android. Improved checkout flow reduced drop-off compared to the mobile web version.
Store App: Reduced time spent on daily inventory audits. Fewer stock discrepancies through validation patterns and real-time feedback. Replaced legacy tools with a faster, more reliable experience for store staff.
