Redesigning the platform experience for GigTown, a marketplace connecting musicians with venues, promoters, and event organizers.

Challenge
The platform required a significant UX/UI overhaul to better serve its dual-sided audience: artists seeking gigs and venues seeking talent. The challenge was to simplify complex booking flows and discovery mechanisms while modernizing the platform's visual identity to remain competitive in the digital music industry.

Solution
I led the platform's redesign through two strategic phases.

  • Phase I: Focused on modernizing the visual interface and auditing core navigation to improve usability. I streamlined the booking request flow, reducing friction for both artists and organizers to ensure a smoother path to engagement.

  • Phase II: Based on user feedback and engagement data, I implemented a deeper UX evolution, refining the search and filtering capabilities and enhancing the artist profile dashboard to help musicians showcase their talent more effectively. This phase concentrated on building a more intuitive, data-driven interface that supports high-volume interactions.

Impact
Transformed the platform into a more modern, efficient ecosystem. The multi-phase redesign resulted in a significantly more intuitive interface, improved engagement metrics for booking requests, and a stronger visual brand that better aligns with the vibrant nature of the music industry.
